Deep in the Andes mountains, there is a turquoise-colored lagoon located inside the volcanic crater of an active volcano with a maximum elevation of 3800 m.a.s.l. named Quilotoa. The tour passes through many indigenous towns and terraces for farming, and includes a brief stop along the way where you will learn about the ancestral uses of plants for the elaboration of ropes, medicinal tonics, footwear, etc., and additionally to the canyon of the Toachi. The weather in Quilotoa is very unpredictable so we recommend being prepared with warm and waterproof clothing.
