What To Expect
Your tour begins with pickup from your Quito hotel at 8:30am, when you’ll board a private vehicle destined for Quilotoa Lake, which was formed from the collapse of Ecuador’s westernmost volcano.
Midway through the 3-hour journey, you’ll stop at a traditional fruit and vegetable market before arriving at your first viewpoint, from which panoramic views of the turquoise lake and surrounding crater are revealed.
Hike downhill to get closer to the vibrant color of the lake and then opt to either rent a mule or hike back to the summit.
Your tour concludes with hotel drop-off in Quito.

Upon arrival we will first visit the viewpoint, which offers you a stunning view of the 3-kilometre wide greenish lake and surrounding mountains. This will also be the starting point for the adventurous hike downhill towards the lake, which will take about 30 minutes approximately. You can either choose to hike back up for about an hour approximately or rent a mule at the lake.
